Restorative Dentistry

Root Canal Treatment – When a tooth is deeply decayed, the nerves of the tooth may die. When this happens, you may need a root canal treatment on this tooth to ensure that you can keep the tooth an no longer be in pain.

During a root canal treatment, the infected/diseased tissue is removed, and a root filling is placed inside the tooth to ensure the longevity of the tooth.

Our dentists have access to the latest technology such as digital x-rays and rotary instruments to help achieve the best outcome for your tooth.

Dental Crowns – Dental crowns protect and restore teeth. They prevent further tooth damage and maintain a healthy, pleasing smile. Crowns may be used for the following:

  • To protect a weak, damaged tooth
  • To prevent a tooth from breaking apart
  • To hold together a fractured tooth
  • Restoring a tooth after a root canal
  • As the replacement tooth atop a dental implant
  • As the support for a replacement tooth in a dental bridge

Dental Bridges – Dental bridges are used as one of the methods in our practice to replace missing teeth. They are made of similar materials as dental crowns, and they work by bridging the gap left by a missing tooth. Using the surrounding teeth for support, the dental bridge holds a replacement tooth in the gap. The replacement tooth is supported by dental crowns on either side, which are placed over the surrounding natural teeth. The result is an aesthetically pleasing replacement tooth system that is also durable and strong because it is anchored to your teeth.

The only way to know whether dental crowns or bridges will work best for you is to visit our dentists for a consultation. There are a number of restorations that may be a good option for your goals and expectations, including tooth-coloured fillings, dental crowns, dental implants or an implant-supported dental bridge.
